Fuji star Adewale Akanji Olanbanjo, popularly known as Barryshowkey, has once again demonstrated his deep devotion to the legacy of the late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, as he marked his birthday on November 2 with praises and adoration to Almighty Allah.
The singer, who shares a strong emotional and artistic connection with the Fuji music pioneer, used the occasion to unveil plans for the 15th remembrance anniversary of the late music legend fondly called Alhaji Agba.
Barryshowkey reiterated his unwavering commitment to uphold and promote the enduring legacy of Barrister, noting that his influence continues to shape his life and artistry.
He revealed that he is currently working on a special album project in honour of the late Fuji creator, adding that a commemorative single dedicated to Agbajelola Ololade Omo Yau Oloogun will soon be released as part of the remembrance activities.
Beyond his musical tributes, Barryshowkey has consistently honoured Barrister’s memory through acts of charity, reaching out to the needy and supporting less privileged families every year on the legend’s posthumous birthdays and remembrance events.
Speaking on his personal philosophy, Barryshowkey expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life, his supporters, and the continued inspiration he draws from Barrister’s works.
> “Every year, I mark my birthday and Alhaji Agba’s remembrance by giving thanks to Almighty Allah and touching lives, just as Barrister taught us through his music and lifestyle,” he said.
As preparations intensify for the forthcoming 15-year remembrance of Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Barryshowkey assured fans that the event will be a celebration of Fuji’s roots, resilience, and rhythm, keeping the eternal flame of the genre’s creator alive.
