By Taofik Afolabi

For more than twenty years, Alhaja Azeezat Reign Otibiya has maintained her position as one of the most influential female voices in Nigeria’s Islamic music landscape—a field dominated largely by men, yet steadily shaped by outstanding female talents like hers. Known for her soulful delivery, uplifting message, and unmistakable stage presence, Otibiya has built a brand rooted in excellence, service, and spirituality.

But what sets her apart today goes beyond music. It is her growing reputation as an entrepreneur, a community builder, and a woman deeply invested .

While many know her for her songs, fewer people realize just how expansive Otibiya’s impact has become. Over the years, she has carefully diversified her life’s work.

As the CEO of Elite World Event & More, she oversees a company that has rapidly become a household name in catering, event management, and training services. The brand is known for its attention to detail and a standard that rivals long-established event companies in the Southwest.

Complementing this is the OIF Foundation, her humanitarian platform dedicated to helping youths and women gain access to opportunities—especially through skill acquisition.

Those close to her describe her as “a woman who doesn’t believe in sitting on her success,” someone always looking for the next person to uplift.

The latest news coming from Elite World Event & More is one that has brought joy to many families. The company is set to graduate the first batch of its catering school trainees on December 17, 2025—a landmark achievement not just for Otibiya, but for the community that has embraced her vision.

The inaugural class, which enrolled on August 25 and concluded training on November 25, has spent months mastering the fundamentals of catering, menu planning, hygiene, pastry making, food presentation, and customer service. Beyond technical lessons, the students were also exposed to soft skills—confidence, teamwork, and entrepreneurship.

What makes this achievement particularly inspiring is that the entire training was fully sponsored.
Their sponsor, respected Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar, funded the tuition to ensure that the selected beneficiaries—mostly youths and women—could start a new chapter without financial barriers.

The gesture reflects a shared belief between the Sheikh and Otibiya: skills are the quickest path to independence.

Following the success of the first batch, the initiative has now attracted even wider support.

The second batch of students, already enrolled for training, is being sponsored by Fuji music icon Alhaji Sule Alao Adekunle (Malaika). His involvement highlights a growing recognition within the entertainment industry that economic empowerment and social impact are responsibilities that must be shared.

Observers say this collaboration is evidence of Otibiya’s influence and the respect she commands across different music circles—Islamic, Fuji.

Behind her rising influence is a support system anchored by her husband, the equally talented music expert TReign. Industry colleagues often describe them as a “creative powerhouse”—two professionals who complement each other’s strengths.

Despite her busy schedule, Otibiya has remained committed to both her family and her art. She continues to record new music, perform at events, mentor younger female artists, and run an organization that is fast becoming a reference point in vocational training.

As preparations intensify for the graduation ceremony, community leaders, fans, and beneficiaries are already celebrating the milestone. Many see this as the beginning of a larger movement—one that merges entertainment, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.

Those who have worked with Otibiya say her long-term dream is to build a full-scale skill development academy under Elite World and OIF Foundation—one that will train thousands yearly in catering, events, fashion, music, and digital

In her words she said ‘My greatest joy is seeing people grow. If one person gains a skill today, a whole family becomes stronger tomorrow. That is why I am committed to empowerment.

“This first graduation is not just a milestone for Elite World Event & More; it is a promise fulfilled. We started this program so that people could stand on their own, and today we are seeing the results.”

“I am deeply grateful to Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar. His support made it possible for these students to learn without worrying about fees. He is a true pillar of community development.”

“Alhaji Sule Alao Adekunle has shown that entertainment goes beyond performance—it is also about lifting people. His sponsorship reminds us that we all have a role to play in building society.”

“Music gave me a platform, but service gives me purpose. I believe a woman can excel in her career and still build opportunities for others.” She noted.
