Bashorun Agbaakin of Yoruba land, Chief Muraina Alexander Congratulates New Alaafin

Bashorun Agbaakin of Yoruba land, High Chief Muraina Olanshile Alexander, has congratulated the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade.

In his statement made available to the media through his media aide, Toyin Agbolade, Chief Muraina also congratulated the entire people of Oyo Kingdom for having a monarch after the demise of iku Babayeye, Oba Lamidi Atanda Olayiwola Adeyemi.

He however, enjoined the contestants who lost out Oyo stool to embrace peace and work together with the new Alaafin in order to take Oyo to another great height.

He said ‘ Kings were made from heaven, it has been destined that our new Alaafin is going to ascend the throne of his forefather, we should all rally round him to succeed. I prayed that may the reign of new Alaafin bring positive developments to Oyo Kingdom, may we never experience hardship and problems in Yoruba land’.

During the periods of our great fathers, if a king emerged those who contested with him must vacant the town and settled in another land, we have seen a case of a prince who lost out of the kingship race and went to another land to settle and he eventually emerged the king in his new settlement. Let’s us all embrace peace in Oyo and allow the new king to rein for the betterment of all of us.

On the recent viral video where Timi of Ede land, Oba Muniru Laminisa who prostrated for Emir of Ilorin, Bashorun Agbaakin said the video was disheartening and conduct of Timi Ede was uncalled for.

The stool of Timi Ede is very important in the history of Yoruba and that throne is a powerful one. I don’t really know what Kabiyeesi is looking for, what did you expect, maybe money was involved. But to me as Bashorun Agbaakin of Yoruba land, i felt very bad the conduit of Kabiyeesi.

Look at Oluwo of Iwo land too, she how is rubbishing our heritage and culture, is going around talking about sharia in Yoruba land, I learned that he has collected huge money from Saudi Arabia, this is Yoruba land, we should respect our culture and heritage.

See what our father Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja second, Oonirisa, see how Kabiyeesi have brought lot of development to Ile-Ife ans our father is a great custodian of of culture. She gangantuan development that Arole Oodua has brought to his domain. May we never experience hardship in Yoruba land’
