The vibrant Lagos suburb of Idimu is set to come alive as Fuji music sensation, Ambassador Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, prepares to headline the 2025 edition of Idimu Day. The event, which has become a cultural staple in Alimosho LGA, promises a grand celebration of tradition, unity, and entertainment.
Known for his electrifying stagecraft and pioneering style of “Dancehall Fuji,” Atawewe—popularly called Etu O Si, Oba O Je—will bring his signature energy and crowd-moving performance to the eagerly anticipated event. His appearance is expected to draw thousands of fans and culture lovers from within and outside the community.
Organizers of Idimu Day 2025 say Atawewe’s inclusion reflects the festival’s growing stature and its commitment to showcasing top-tier indigenous talent. “Atawewe is a living legend in Fuji music, and his presence will elevate this year’s celebration to new heights,” said one of the planning committee members.
The event will also feature traditional rites, parades, community awards, and other performances that highlight the rich heritage of the Idimu people.
Idimu Day 2025 will take place at the opposite of Onidimu’s palace today.
