The President, Lovers of Hope for Greater Nation, under the Leadership of Prophet Moses Wale Olagunju, the Presiding Bishop Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministry Ibadan, has called for restructuring without balkanization and the rebranding of Nigeria into a new entity to be known as the United States of Nigeria (USN).
Prophet Moses Wale Olagunju
This was made known in a press release made available to news men. According to the statement,
There is no country in the world without its own unique problems which often come in the form of agitations occasioned by injustice. Historically, Nigeria is a peaceful country. The series of agitations which the country has experienced over the years can be traced majorly to the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorates. Ever since then the problems of corruption and marginalization have continued to fuel agitations which their promoters believe to be the only potent way to vent their grievances.
Continuing, Olagunju said, “after the Nigerian civil war which lasted for a period of three years (1967–1970) political agitations assumed more vehement dimension because the root of the problems was never addressed. What did we gain from the shedding of the blood of millions of people upon which the unity of the nation remains elusive?
Why do we sing Nigeria we hail thee, when there is no unity? Where is our own native land? Is it the same land which has known no peace and stability as a result of corruption and marginalization?
After the independence of this great country Nigeria’s problem did not stop or diminish because the root of the problems which are corruption and marginalization, were ignored like a woman who looked herself in the mirror but failed to effect the necessary adjustments but pretended that all was well. The ugly situation was reinforced by the post-independence militarization of the polity and the attendant misuse of human and material resources by
successive governments.”
While recalling that Nigeria gained independence over 64 years ago, the president of the group said the people have not secured their freedom or liberty. “Why did we fight wars and wasted the lives of millions of our people yet the people are still looking for the messiah and liberator? What is the point of the Biafra-Nigeria war and why did we shed so much blood that did not resolve the crisis?
Why are we producing agitators while development and innovations to move the country forward remain elusive? Why are we producing more and more of Nnamdi Kanus, Sunday Igbohos and Samie Ekpas?” He queried.
This crisis, he noted, “was borne out of marginalization and corruption and this has led to protests and the emergence of political agitators. The people are in dire need of someone to act as their Messiah or liberator since the government has repeatedly failed to listen to them, ” he posited.
Pointing the way forward, the group opines that, “If our leaders can move Nigerian beyond sectional interest, marginalisation and corruption, then these agitations will stop”.
“Our leaders folded their hands for so long and more political agitators began to emerge after the war starting from Late General Ojukwu who created ‘Biafra’. It is not only the South-easterners that are agitating. The Yorubas are agitating; the Middle-Belters are agitating; the North- easterners are agitating. Now, the core Fulani youths are agitating, saying they want to be left alone.
“These agitations are fueled by the desire for devolution of powers to the federating units to allow for self-development as a way to tackle these unaccepted and unwanted conditions they have found themselves in. This was what brought the likes of Sunday Igboho, Asari Dokubo and Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB) to spotlight. As some agitators are being arrested, others are emerging to continue from where others stopped, and creating more of the likes of Nnamdi Kanu which made Simon Ekpa of Finland a pro Biafra agitator,” he declared.
Commenting on government’s approach to address the problem, the group said, “the government relies on the use of force to arrest and silence them instead of calling them to a meeting to resolve the issues and address the problems.
“We pretend as if there were no crises in Nigeria despite the high level of corruption and marginalization that continue to unsettle us as a nation.”

Olagunju continued “The time to rebrand our country into a United Nigeria without any form of division is now! Who can do? It is our leaders; the youth do not know much about the history of this country because the majority of them were not born by then. Our leaders have the capacity to change our nation beyond the level where it is today above the lingering crisis of marginalisation and corruption. This can be achieved through total and genuine restructuring under a new name to be known as the United States of Nigeria (USN), into a sovereign country, sovereign states without any form of division”.
“This is our vision for development and innovation and it is our belief that Nigeria, under this arrangement, will surpass and rank better than Dubai, USA ,China and United Kingdom,” he foretold.
Prophet Moses Wale Olagunju
Olagunju reasoned that “all ethnic groups have now turned agitators even women, children and students are not left out. Ojukwu died but his spirit did not die; millions of agitators in the east are carrying on with Ojukwu’s Biafran spirit in their hearts. Nnamdi Kanu is still in prison but in the mind of many of his people, Nigeria is unsuitable for them.
Nigeria is not in their mind any longer.
“Majority of the people living in the country no longer see the country as theirs; they just want to go. The Yorubas want to go as an independent nation. Sunday Igboho is in Germany, many other Sunday Igbohos are living in Nigeria but they are no longer Nigerians both in spirit and soul. They see themselves as citizens of the Yoruba nation. The same is applicable to those from the Middle Belt. The young Hausa-Fulani also see themselves in the same light. Where then is the united Nigeria?
We are fighting fire but we have failed to deal with the inferno from the root. The house is leaking and all we are shouting and scrambling to do is to change the carpet. No one is ready to address where the water is coming from or check to see the cause of the problem. Yet we want a United Nigeria without any form of division.
“Our leaders should serve as the bridge joining one tribe to another in unity to be able to realize our dream of a united Nigeria”.
“Presently we are ‘one Nigeria’ by word of mouth but our hearts are in different nations. Nigerians are grieving because of high level corruption, marginalisation, mismanagement, poverty and bad leadership. These are what have shattered the hearts of Nigerians and why their confidence in the country will continue to ebb. We all want a united Nigeria but what is separating us is not being addressed”. He noticed.
The group use the medium to inform Nigerians both home and abroad that in order to resolve this lingering crisis, “we would be inviting our leaders to a world press conference in order to resolve the lingering crisis in Nigeria before or in the first week of December 2024.
“We want to plead with our fathers, leaders kings and chiefs of different lands that we can have a united and peaceful Nigeria with the birthing of a new nation through total and genuine restructuring under a new name to be known as the United States of Nigeria (USN); a sovereign country with sovereign states without any form of division is our vision for the development and idea of re-patterning our country to make it excel far better than Dubai, USA, China and United Kingdom. This is the way to raise Nigeria above ethnicity, marginalisation and corruption.
“We shall continue to plead with our fathers, we are aware and understand that you have been trying to do your best to resolve these problems, however there is still much work to be done. We have allowed these crisis to escalate to this point and the effect of this is that our people keep on emigrating to other countries that are worse than Nigeria.
“Our country, Nigeria, is in a sorry state that needs urgent repair. Please who can do it? We have our leaders who can do it .Our leaders can raise the present Nigeria out of the desolation of many generations above tribe marginalisation and corruption under a sovereign country with sovereign states to be called the United States of Nigeria (USN) without any form of division.”
“This is the time to do it! And who will do it? It is our present leaders that will do it.
For this reason, we will be mobilizing all our leaders, past and present, critical stakeholders and patriotic Nigerians to a world press conference where we will give our leaders the template of our project which we started in October 2023. This is to inspire fresh hope in our people and retain this entity as a United Nigeria without any form of division.
