The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Hon. John Campos Ogundare has congratulated the new President of the Nigerian Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio and the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD.
According to Ogundare, the elections of Akpabio and Abbas as President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively demonstrate the confidence and trust their fellow legislators have in them to lead the 10th national assembly.
In a statement shared on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ola. Muhammed, the chairman urged the leadership of the National Assembly to cooperate with their colleagues and use their positions for the growth and development of our nation, Nigeria.
The Chairman further wished for good ties between the legislature and executive, as well as the judiciary and other government institutions so as to build a better and united Nigeria.
