In a strong demonstration of unity and transnational support, Nigerians across New South Wales have endorsed the governorship ambition of Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) at a grand Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising Event held in Doonside, Sydney, Australia.
Opening prayers and special prayers were led by Prophet Dr. Peter Kekere (JP) of Christ Apostolic Church Praise Centre, Australia, and Sheikh Ridwan Adigun of Newcastle Muslim Community, New South Wales.
The event brought together political leaders, community elders, business executives, and religious figures of Oyo State origin who converged to reaffirm their confidence in Dr. Kareem’s leadership vision ahead of the Oyo 2027 Governorship Election.

Highlights of the Event
The hall was filled with a cross-section of Oyo State indigenes, APC members, youth leaders, professionals, and well-wishers from across New South Wales, Australia.
A major highlight was the launching of AKK’s new book – “Our Realistic Tomorrow.” The Chief Launcher, Engr. Ridwan Kadiri, commended Dr. AKK’s bold commitment to public service, describing him as a “focused leader who does not allow distractions to derail his mission.”
Chairperson of the event, Mrs. Olayinka Fareo, praised Dr. AKK’s leadership and contributions to community welfare in Australia and Oyo State — notably his ₦5 million micro-loan initiative recently provided to support small businesses in Oyo communities. She formally endorsed AKK’s gubernatorial ambition on behalf of Nigerians in New South Wales, pledging their continuous support.
Dr. Folorunso Oyekan, Former Vice President of Odua Group of New South Wales and Chairman of the event, also commended Dr. AKK’s developmental strides in Oyo State and endorsed him as “a visionary leader whose love for Oyo State is evident in both words and deeds.”
Prophet Dr. Peter Kekere (JP) offered heartfelt prayers for divine wisdom, protection, and victory for Dr. Kareem, commending his humility and dedication to service. He urged Nigerians in Australia to rally behind AKK, saying “this is a divine project that must not fail.”
Mr. Olatunbosun Adeyemi and Engr. Benjamin Adebajo, respected community leaders and APC stalwarts, also took turns to commend Dr. Kareem’s developmental efforts and reaffirmed their full support for his 2027 ambition. They praised his commitment to grassroots empowerment and integrity-driven leadership that continues to impact lives in Oyo State and the diaspora.
In addition, several attendees — including professionals, youth representatives, and women leaders — also gave individual testimonies and personal endorsements, citing AKK’s humility, generosity, and proven record of service. Many described him as “the type of leader Oyo State truly needs in 2027.”
AKK Declares Vehicle Branding and Royal Outreach
During his closing remarks, Dr. Kareem announced the official branding of AKK cars, buses, and trucks to begin on Monday, 27th October 2025.
He also revealed plans to present copies of his book, “Our Realistic Tomorrow,” to key traditional rulers across Oyo State — including the Olubadan, Alaafin, Soun, and Okere — in December 2025, ahead of the January edition of the Oyo State Town Hall Meeting and Fundraising Event.

In his address, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) expressed gratitude to attendees, describing the gathering as “a reflection of shared vision, unity, and faith in a greater Oyo State.”
“Today is not just about me — it is about us. It is about our shared dream for a greater Oyo State, a stronger Nigeria, and a brighter future for our children,” he said.
Dr. Kareem presented his comprehensive blueprint for Oyo State’s transformation, anchored on Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Security.

Education Funding Reform: Introduction of a per-head funding system for both public and private school students — ensuring full government sponsorship for pupils in public schools and 75% support for those in private schools.
Responsible Borrowing: Commitment to borrowing prudently at lower interest rates to fund critical infrastructure and economic development.
Local Economic Empowerment: Unlocking each local government’s unique economic potential for self-sufficiency through data-driven planning.
Security & Surveillance: Deployment of CCTV networks across Oyo State, coordinated community policing, and intelligent data systems to strengthen safety and public confidence.
Job Creation & Innovation: Transforming Oyo State into a hub for youth employment, agribusiness, and small-scale industries through domestic and diaspora partnerships.

Dr. Kareem reaffirmed that the AKK 2027 Project is not merely a political campaign but a movement of unity, service, and hope to rebuild Oyo State with honesty, innovation, and collective responsibility.
“By God’s grace, this mission will culminate in victory in 2027 — when the people of Oyo State will elect me, Adewale Kolapo Kareem, as their Governor,” he declared.
He concluded with a message of optimism:
“Oyo State will rise again.
Nigeria will rise again.
And our diaspora family will continue to play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for our homeland.”
