Nigerians in the United Kingdom and Germany—particularly those of Oyo State origin—are set to converge in London for a historic town hall meeting, fundraising event, and book launch in honour of Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (widely known as AKK), a 2027 gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement was made by Mr. Abdul Maroof Olagboyega (popularly called Saymore), the Chief Launcher of the event, who urged Nigerians in the diaspora—especially Yorubas, Ibadan indigenes, and sons and daughters of Oyo State—to seize this rare opportunity to engage directly with Dr. AKK.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 11th October 2025, at Firm Hall, Harris Academy, Bermondsey, 55 Southwark Park Road, London SE16 3TZ, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm prompt.
According to Saymore, the program will feature:
An interactive town hall session, allowing participants to share their thoughts on governance and development.
A fundraising drive in support of Dr. Kareem’s gubernatorial ambition.
The official launch of Dr. Kareem’s latest book, “Our Realistic Tomorrow.”
“This event is open to everybody. It is a chance to meet Dr. AKK one-on-one, share your ideas on leadership, and contribute to shaping the future of Oyo State,” Saymore emphasized.
Beyond the political and intellectual engagements, the day also promises an atmosphere of celebration—with food, drinks, and rich cultural performances by different community groups.
He
