In a colorful and well-attended ceremony, Team Somebody, the non-governmental organization founded by renowned Nigerian-American singer Chief Yinka Rythmz, popularly known as Mr. Somebody, and his wife, Dr. Ogonna Al-Hassan, officially inaugurated its executives for the Nigerian chapter.
The organization, born out of the couple’s passion to give back to society, was established to provide hope, empowerment, and relief to the less privileged. Over the years, Team Somebody has grown beyond Nigeria’s borders, attracting committed members both at home and in the diaspora.
A Celebration of Service
The inauguration event drew members, supporters, and well-wishers, with the presence of the founders adding glamour to the day. The matron of the organization, Mrs. Bolanle Onigbanjo Al-Hassan, also lent her support, underscoring the unity and vision that bind the association.
Chief Yinka Rythmz, who recently bagged the prestigious title Bobadara of Ipokia, alongside his wife, the Yeye Bobadara of Ipokia, charged the newly sworn-in executives to see their appointments as an opportunity to serve. He emphasized that leadership within Team Somebody is not about prestige, but about impact, compassion, and community upliftment.
> “This association was built on love and sacrifice,” he told the gathering. “We want you to use your various offices to strengthen our collective dream of bringing succor to the less privileged and making society better for all.”
Certificates and Commitment
In a symbolic gesture, the certificates of office were presented to the new executives by Chief Yinka Rythmz and Dr. Ogonna Al-Hassan. This act, witnessed by members and guests, reflected not just recognition but also a transfer of responsibility to the new leadership team.
The newly inaugurated president, speaking on behalf of the executives, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the founders for their foresight in establishing Team Somebody. He further called on all members to remain united in purpose, noting that the association’s success depends on the contributions and collaboration of everyone.
> “We cannot achieve this vision alone. With your support, Team Somebody Nigeria will grow stronger, more vibrant, and more impactful,” he declared.
Spreading Hope, Building Bridges
With its Nigerian chapter now formally established, Team Somebody is poised to deepen its outreach across communities in the country. The inauguration marks a fresh chapter in the organization’s journey—one that blends humanitarian service, cultural pride, and a global vision of empowerment.
As Chief Yinka Rythmz and his wife continue to balance their artistic, professional, and humanitarian commitments, Team Somebody stands as a testament to their belief that fame and fortune find greater meaning when
used to uplift others.
