The most anticipated and first football competition tagged ‘Above 50 Football Tournament’ is kicking off today, 27th July, 2023.
According to the information made available to us by the convener of the tournament, Dr Edward Olutoke, hinted that the tournament is starting today, Thursday, 27th July, 2023 with the welcome dinner for all participating teams holds at NIS Hall, National stadium, Surulere, by 5pm.
While the preliminary matches will hold on Friday 28th at Legacy Pitch, National stadium, Surulere by 11am.
The information stated further that the quarter and semi finals is holding on Saturday 29th at Legacy Pitch, National stadium Surulere by 11am.
However, Sunday 30th has been slated for church service at NUT Pavilion, Alausa, Ikeja by 9am and the tournament final will hold same Sunday at Legacy Pitch, National stadium by 3pm.
Doctor Olutoke in his words said the tournament is borne out of his passion to get the old citizens out of boredom and appreciate them massively.
