Nigerian gospel singer and career banker, Toyin Alo, has restated her firm opposition to diabolical and fetish practices, declaring that her life and music remain devoted to spreading the message of Christ.
In an interview, Alo described her gift for music as a divine calling, explaining:
am a Christian, a lover of Christ, a gospel singer, a dutiful wife, a mother, and a proud girl-child with zero tolerance for barbaric practices. My mission is to win souls for Him
While acknowledging the value of cultural heritage, she stressed that her faith comes first.
> “According to the Bible, a believer must never subscribe to Mammon. My faith in Him stands tall,” she said.
In her reaction as regards her Faith, Family, and Career, Evangelist Alo said, “Balancing a demanding banking career, my gospel ministry, and family life, I credit all these to the divine grace for giving me the ability to keep each role thriving.”
God is my Alpha and Omega. He has been good to me, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. All my life has been about Christ,” she affirmed.
Speaking further on her musical career, she said, “My sojourn into the world of gospel music started with the debut of my album, Esteban Praise, which introduced me as a vibrant voice in Nigerian gospel music. In quick succession, other albums and singles have followed, they are; Alagbara, Halleluyah, Oba ni Jesu (featuring Kenny Kore), and my most recent album Praise Him, with videos shot in both Nigeria and the United States. Her latest release, Ogo Ogo is now available on Audiomack.”
Looking Ahead
The singer revealed plans for a new album, promising it will be filled with “powerful gospel lyrics and uplifting messages that inspire people to hold on to God.”
