UK-based Nollywood actor, Tomiwa Alajogun, has melted hearts with an emotional tribute to his wife, Olori Adijat Abake Alajogun, as she marks her birthday today.
The actor, who admitted being “short of words,” poured out his feelings in a touching message that captured the depth of love and respect he holds for his wife.
“For the first time in a long time, I’m legitimately short of words. I don’t know what to say on your birthday. You’ve shown me so much love, respect, and care. You’ve given me listening ears when I needed it and scolded me when I needed it. You’ve shown me I don’t have to be alone on my journey or in my thoughts when my brain is wilding,” he expressed.
Alajogun further explained that he had wanted to gift his wife something memorable, but realized that nothing could compare to the constant words of love, affirmation, and affection she had always desired from him. This inspired a creative project dedicated entirely to her, though he noted delays caused by “late decisions, creative differences, and perfection battles.”
The heartfelt message also highlighted her cultural roots as an Ibadan woman, referencing the Odu Ifa of Ose Meji that birthed Ibadan, the iconic brown roofs of the city, and its trademark Micra cars.
“I was hoping to get this out today on your birthday, but I believe when it’s finally out, you’ll understand just a little of how much I love, cherish, and appreciate you. This is all for you, ÀBÁKÉ ÒKÍN Mi, Omo Oba Meta, Aya Ifa, Ele Major, Olori Alajogun, My beautiful Ibadan Wife,” he added.
Alajogun also acknowledged and appreciated the team of creatives who contributed to the special project, including inspiration from how wife.
The emotional post ended with a shower of love, prayers, and birthday wishes for his wife, whom he fondly called his “gist partner” and “the most important woman” in his life.
