VSS Care Foundation provides food aid to needy family in Lagos

As part of its objective of helping the needy in the society, VSS Foundation on Friday donated food items to a family in the Lawanson area of Lagos State.

VSS Care Foundation was founded in 2023 by Foluso Omosebi, an Ireland based philanthropist with the aim of giving back to the society.

The food items were presented by Mrs Laide Gold, the foundation’s Nigerian director on behalf of the foundation to Jamiu Kalejaiye who received the food items on behalf of himself and his 14-year old son, Farouk.

Jamiu thanked the foundation for coming to their aid in times of need and prayed for the success of the foundation. Jamiu noted that the foundation has been providing succour for the family through financial assistance aside from the donated food items.

14-year old Farouk who is in Junior Secondary School, JSS 3 class and hoped to become a graphic designer in the future thanked Foluso Omosebi for helping the family through her foundation. He, however, called for further assistance in his education to help him realise his future ambition.

Speaking on the donation, Mrs Laide Gold said the gesture was part of the foundation’s core values of assisting the less privileged in the society.

She added that the foundation is committed to supporting Farouk in his education in achieving his dream.

In June, VSS Care Foundation also visited Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home which is an orphanage in Ekiti where the founder, Foluso also donated food items to the children.
