The Saudi government has fixed the first week of December 2025 as the deadline for all Hajj payments, in line with its early preparation strategy for the annual pilgrimage. This means intending pilgrims from Nigeria and other participating countries are expected to complete their payments on or before 30th November 2025.
The announcement was made known to Ojutole Media by the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Yusuff International Travel and Tours Limited, Alhaji Majeed Oladele, who described the directive as part of efforts to streamline visa processing, accommodation, and other logistics for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Oladele noted that while the deadline may appear distant, it is important for pilgrims to begin preparations early to avoid last-minute rush.
> “We are advising our clients and all intending pilgrims to start making payments in installments now, so that by the end of November, no one will be left stranded. The Saudi authorities are very strict with deadlines, and late payments will not be considered,” he said.
The travel and tour operator emphasized that early compliance will help pilgrims secure better arrangements in areas such as flight schedules, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, and other essential services. He also assured that Al-Yusuff International Travel and Tours remains committed to guiding pilgrims through the registration, payment, and travel process.
Why the Deadline Matters
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has adopted stricter measures to regulate the influx of pilgrims. By fixing earlier deadlines, the Kingdom ensures that countries submitting pilgrim lists and payments have ample time for processing. For Nigeria, which usually contributes one of the largest contingents, the directive means state pilgrims’ boards, private tour operators, and intending pilgrims must act promptly.
Industry experts say the new deadline will reduce the usual last-minute pressure that often causes delays in flight schedules and accommodation arrangements.
Advice to Intending Pilgrims
Alhaji Oladele urged all those hoping to perform Hajj in 2026 to prioritize financial planning. He explained that installment payment options remain open, and advised pilgrims not to wait until November before beginning contributions.
> “It is better to start now with whatever you have, so that you can spread the cost. That way, the deadline will not become a burden,” he added.
He also appealed for patience and cooperation from clients, assuring them of transparent services and a smooth pilgrimage experience
