A journalist and flag bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Alimosho Federal Constituency, Mrs. Ola Olusola Motunrayo , popularly known as Ayekooto has declared that her ambition to represent the people of Alimosho is driven by a commitment to deliver tangible results, rather than engage in political rhetoric.
Olusola, who emerged as the party’s candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections, said her professional experience in journalism has given her first-hand knowledge of the challenges confronting residents and the need for effective representation.
Speaking on her vision for the constituency, she said Alimosho requires a representative who will listen to the people, speak boldly on their behalf and translate their concerns into concrete legislative interventions.
“My focus for Alimosho Federal Constituency is beyond rhetoric. It is about action, accountability and measurable impact.”
She identified youth empowerment, education, employment, healthcare, infrastructure and support for small businesses as areas that would receive priority attention under her proposed representation.
According to her, Alimosho, one of the most populated constituencies in Lagos State, deserves a stronger voice at the National Assembly capable of attracting meaningful development and opportunities to the constituency.
Olusola also appealed to youths, women, professionals and other stakeholders across Alimosho to join hands with her in building a constituency where governance is people-centred and representation is accessible.
She assured constituents that her background as a journalist would strengthen her commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous engagement with the people.
The ADC candidate maintained that her emergence was not merely about occupying a political office but about offering a new approach to representation, where the interests and welfare of constituents remain at the centre of legislative responsibilities.
With the 2027 elections approaching, Olusola emergence has added a new dimension to the political contest in Alimosho, as parties and aspirants begin to intensify their mobilisation across the constituency.
