The Afotamodi Planning Committee, Isara Remo, has announced plans for the 57th Afotamodi Day, scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 14, 2026, with a major focus on preserving the community’s cultural heritage and restoring its historic glory.
The annual celebration is being held in honour of H.R.H. Alaiyeluwa Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), Odemo of Isara Remo.
Themed “Preserving Our Heritage, Restoring Our Glory,” the 2026 Afotamodi Day will also feature a ₦500 million fundraising campaign for the reconstruction of the Odemo’s Palace.
The event is expected to bring together prominent traditional, cultural and entertainment personalities, with King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (Oga Nla Fuji), and Evangelist (Dr.) Lanre Teriba (Atorise) listed among those featured on the programme.
The celebration is expected to provide an opportunity for members of the community and supporters of Isara Remo’s cultural heritage to contribute towards the restoration of the palace while celebrating the town’s history and traditions.
