A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an aspirant in the just-concluded Ondo North Senatorial Districts, Chief Dr Alex Ajipe, has approached the federal high court sitting in Akure, Ondo State capital, over the outcome of the May 29th senatorial primary election of the party.
Ajipe had approached court over the irregularities surrounding the primary election which produced Pastor jide Ipinsagba as the candidate of the party.
Pastor Ipinsagba polled 268 votes to defeat Ajipe Alex who had 57 votes.
Ajipe’s counsel Barrister Abdulgani Arobo also joined INEC and APC as party to the case
The case, which was initially instituted at the federal high court Abuja, was later transfered to Akure division of the court for proper hearing.
The presiding judge, Justice A.J Ajayi, however adjourned the matter to 13th of October for proper hearing.
