OPC New-Era to celebrate Aje-Olokun Festival

The Oodua People’s Congress (New Era) will on 22/23 August celebrate the annual Aje-Olokun festival at Debojo beach, Ẹlẹkọ, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

The festival which incidentally falls within the month earmarked for the promotion of indigenous cultures and traditions in Nigeria’s southwestern states is meant to help the host communities develop their tourism potentials apart from other spiritual benefits that accrue from the deity’s worship.

While the grand finale is billed for the second day, members expected from all over the country are expected to begin arriving the day before.

While true that it’s an occasion for solemnity, participants will however be entertained by musicians, Karube Aloma and Alhaji Muri Thunder among others side attractions.
