PMAN Governor For Lagos, Ara Meets Lagos Police Commissioner, Seek Partnership For Artistes In The State

The Governor of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria, PMAN, who also is the first female talking drummer on world stage, Aralola Olamuyiwa, popularly called Ara was today hosted by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade in his office.

The meeting according to the PMAN Governor was to seek partnership with the Police for the safety of artistes plying their trades in Lagos and to create an atmosphere where artistes would find in Lagos, a place where their safety would be guaranteed and with Police being our friends, we expect that if an artiste who had been registered with PMAN and has their PMAN Job License Card has an issue with the agencies of government, the Job License would stand as cover for them till the issue is resolved.
The PMAN Governor in Lagos said that the Job License Card was designed as one of the benefits of being a member of the umbrella body as well as a protective tool for all artistes in Lagos where when they have issues with the Police or any other security agency, all they need is to identify themselves with the job license card and when the issue is very serious, PMAN would come in through PMAN Lawyers who would ensure that the issue is resolved amicably.

On his part, the very elated Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade said that the visit by the PMAN Governor was a good one and promised to work with her in ensuring that the safety of Artistes in Lagos are top priority.
He said that the PMAN job license card initiative comes at a time when some people face identity crises and as artistes in Lagos, this card is a welcomed development which would show who everyone is and promised to collaborate with PMAN in making sure her job as Governor in Lagos is made easy.

There would also be a joint platform for both parties for this collaboration to work.
