Top PDP Chieftain Austin Okai Dumps Party, Joins ADC as Momentum Grows Across Kogi West

The political environment in *Kogi State* has taken a significant turn as *Austin Okai,* a prominent chieftain and one of the notable image makers of the *Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)*, has resigned from the party and formally joined the *African Democratic Congress (ADC).*

*Okai*, a well known *socio-political activist,* confirmed his resignation on Monday, marking yet another high-profile exit amidst the prolonged leadership crisis that continues *to cripple the PDP nationally.* His transition to the *ADC* reflects a growing wave of political realignment across the country.

This development comes shortly after *a large number of politicians from various political parties defected to the ADC during its official unveiling in the Kogi West Senatorial District.* The event, held over the weekend, showcased the ADC’s rising profile as a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking genuine leadership and relief from the country’s socio-economic distress.

Speaking at the unveiling, former federal lawmaker *Senator Dino Melaye* described the ADC as *the only viable option left for Nigerians*, lamenting the worsening hardship, hunger, and widespread starvation under the current *All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration*. He emphasized that the time has come for Nigerians to embrace a platform that prioritizes national welfare and economic recovery.

With the entry of influential figures like Austin Okai, the *ADC* continues to strengthen its footing across *Kogi State* and beyond, positioning itself as the rallying point for Nigerians seeking transformational leadership.
