A book, authored by veteran journalist and Yoruba historian, Pastor Kunle Babarinde, will be unveiled on April 16, 2026.
A statement issued by Babarinde, who is also the founder of Yoruba Tooto newspaper and Yoruba Tooto TV, said the public unveiling will be held at the Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos State.
Founder of Pacific Holdings and Adelek University, Ede, Osun State, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and Prophet Sam Adebayo Ojo of Freedom Apostolic Revival International Ministry (FARIM) will chair the event, which will also feature the official unveiling of Yoruba Tooto Newspaper Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, which has members across the country.
Babarinde explained that the book is dedicated in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside Dr. Adeleke and the Adeleke family.
Babarinde said Ooni Ile-Ife, Oba Eniitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, would be the royal father of the day, while the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Oyebola (Adeyeri III), would also be on the seat.
‘’President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is an indigene of Eko (Lagos), one of the kingdoms the book focused on. Also, Dr. Adeleke, the Adeleke family, and I felt Dr. Deji Adeleke and the Adeleke family of Ede town have never been duly celebrated for their contributions to Yoruba land and Nigeria as a whole.
“Aside from being a successful businessman, Dr. Deji has employed hundreds of people through his company, Pacific Holdings, while his University, Adeleke University of Ede town, remained one of the best tertiary institutions in the country.
“On the other hand, the Adeleke family alone has produced two governors in Osun state i.e. Late Isiaka Adeleke, who is the first civilian Governor of Osun State and Governor Ademola Adeleke who is presently the sitting Governor of Osun State,’’ Babarinde said.
