The Agbado Traders Market, in Ifo Local Government, Ogun State, have appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun, to save them from Alagbado of Agbado, Oba Adedayo Shyllon, for making life unbearable for them, despite the court retrained him for parading himself as Coronet Oba of Agbado. They also want the police Area Commander, Sango, Ota Area Command, to be caution for his role about crisis.
In a release sent to us titled’ Save Agbado Market’’ they accused Adedayo Shyillon, and his cohot parallel chiefs,for forcing illegal levies on them , which they called Owo Oba.
They said ‘’ On 18th December, 2019, there was judgement delieverd at Ota High Court, by Justice O Ogunfowora which setting aside Adedayo, Shyllon, appointment as Baale and Upgrading as Coronet Oba, The Judgement also restrained him from further parading himself as Coronet Oba of Agbado’’
They said further that Shyllon refused to obey the Judgement and started making life unbearable for them.
We learnt that on Friday, 25th, February, 2022, the Area Commander, Sango Ota, invited both side to settle the matter, but to their surprise, the man decided to ignored the judgement of Justice Ogunfowora, and Chief Registrar letter which directed by Chief Judgement Hon Justice MA Dipeolu to inform them to maintaince of peace and order in the town based on judgement.
They said the Area Commander gave clearance to Adedayo Shyllon through Deacon Kola Osoko,aka Asoju Oba to continue collecting of levies from traders in Agbado Market.
The market traders now appealing to the State Govenor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Commissioner of Police, Commissioner for Chieftancy and local Government and Chaiperson Ifo local Government to withdraw all recognition giving to Richard Adedayo shyllon in line with Justice Ogunfowora.
